Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of a device by providing an electronically controlled governor directly connected to an injection quantity adjusting member and a mechanical governor, providing a clutch between the injection quantity adjusting member and the mechanical governor, and engaging the clutch when the electronically controlled governor fails.

CONSTITUTION: The electromagnetic actuator 3 of an electronically controlled governor 100 is fitted to a governor housing 2 fixed to an injection pump 1, and its output rod is connected to an injection quantity adjusting member 4. One end of a rotatable lever 5 is connected to the injection quantity adjusting member 4 centering a fulcrum 9, and a bush 22 which is a constituting element of a clutch 20 is fixed at the middle of the lever 5. A mechanical governor 10 containing a fly weight 12 is fitted to a pump cam shaft 11, a lever 44 is swayed via a shaft 16 and a slider 42 as the pump rotating speed rises, and its movement can be transferred to the lever 5 via the clutch 20. The clutch 20 is engaged when the electronically controlled governor 100 is judged to fail.
