Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a deviation of a thickness of a roll sheet due to foil stamping thereby preventing winding deviation when winding the roll sheet.SOLUTION: A control apparatus, which receives a label printing job including a first document image of a label which is printed on a prescribed region of a roll sheet, a first foil image which defines a region on which foil stamping is performed by use of an adhesive on the prescribed region of the roll sheet after printing, and a first type image which defines a closed curve for cutting off the label on the prescribed region of the roll sheet after foil stamping, determines whether a coverage of the foil image obtained from the label printing job is line symmetry with respect to a center line of the type image or not. In the case where it is determined that the coverage of the foil image is not line symmetry, the apparatus creates a second foil image in which a foil stamping region is added to an outer side and so on of the closed curve of the type image, and instructs foil stamping according to the second foil image while instructing printing of the first document image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11(a)
