Abstract:
To perform countermeasures for suppressing reduction in a cylinder inner wall temperature following execution of intermittent stop surely targeting timing at which execution of the engine intermittent stop is approaching.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle includes a cooling system which can perform heat exchange between an engine coolant and a coolant for cooling an electric component such as an electric motor. The cooling system can adjust a circulation amount of the engine coolant. A control device executes prediction processing of predicting establishment of an engine intermittent stop condition during travel of the hybrid vehicle, and executes circulation amount preceding reduction processing and system output control processing when the establishment of the engine intermittent stop condition is predicted by the prediction processing. The circulation amount preceding reduction processing is the processing of advancing the reduction start of the circulation amount of the engine coolant following the establishment of the engine intermittent stop condition to a time point before the establishment of the engine intermittent stop condition. The system output control processing is the processing of increasing the output of the electric motor while reducing the output of an internal combustion engine in conjunction with the start of the circulation amount preceding reduction processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
