Abstract:
To solve such a problem that the accuracy of a defocus amount derived based on a phase difference may be reduced depending on the type of a subject.SOLUTION: A control device comprises a circuit which is configured to specify the type of a first subject included in a predetermined region in an image captured by an imaging apparatus, acquire a phase difference of at least one pair of image signals in the predetermined region generated on the basis of light beams having passed through mutually-different regions of a lens system, select a predetermined relation on the basis of the type of the first subject from among the plurality of predetermined relations between the phase difference and a defocus amount for each type of the subject, derive the defocus amount corresponding to the phase difference of the at least one pair of image signals on the basis of the predetermined relation and execute the focus control by controlling the driving of a focus lens on the basis of the defocus amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
