In enriching the air-fuel ratio, whether or not a throttle valve drive 15 is failed is determined (S21). In a case where the throttle valve drive 15 is failed, target valve opening SOCMD for SCV14 is set as target valve opening SOCMDF that is smaller than target valve opening SOCMDN when the throttle valve drive 15 is normal (S24), and intake air quantity GA is decreased by the SCV 14. In a case where the throttle valve drive 15 is failed, air-fuel ratio enriching is performed for a longer time than that when the throttle valve drive is normal.
