Abstract:

To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine, preventing an operational status of the internal combustion engine from being unstable, by suitably responding to deterioration in combustion state caused by condensate.

The control device applied for an internal combustion engine 1, comprises; a plurality of cylinders 2; an intake manifold 5 guiding intake air to each of the plurality of cylinders 2; an EGR device 14 taking part of exhaust from an exhaust passage 4 as EGR gas and recirculating the part of exhaust into an intake passage 3 upstream of the intake manifold 5. In the control device, wrap-around preventing wall 5a for leading intake air so that the intake air flowing into the intake manifold 5 flows toward a cylinder 2 of #1 is disposed to the intake manifold 5, and fuel injection timing of the cylinder 2 of #1 is controlled so that difference between torque generated in the cylinder 2 of #1 and torque generated in cylinders 2 of #2-#4 becomes small.
