Abstract:
To improve silentness during the starting by suppressing circumferential leakage of noise occurring during preheat control.
When an internal combustion engine 10 is started by a motor 48, preheat control is performed. In the preheat control, the heated compressed air blown back is blown into an intake port 20 by opening and closing an intake valve 38 with an exhaust valve 40 closed. An ECU 50 holds a throttle valve 30 at a closed position. Since the noise produced when the compressed air is blown back is intercepted by the throttle valve 30, the leakage of noise to the outside via an intake passage 24 can be suppressed.
