Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine which favorably starts the internal combustion engine and can search an actual temperature at the start of the internal combustion engine without having a temperature sensor for detecting the actual temperature of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A start control means of a control device refers to a first temperature characteristic map providing a relationship between an internal combustion engine temperature and an optimum fuel injection quantity allowing the internal combustion engine to start, and starts actual temperature searching process at the start of the internal combustion engine. A virtual temperature T1 is set first, and then a map value M1 corresponding to the virtual temperature T1 is calculated from the first temperature characteristic map. The means requests a fuel injection command means to inject fuel at an injection quantity of the map value M1 as well as requests an ignition command means to ignite in a predetermined timing. If the internal combustion engine does not start, the virtual temperature is maintained at a certain temperature for a predetermined period of time and reduced toward a low-temperature side from a high-temperature side in a phased manner. A series of this operation is repeated until the start of the internal combustion engine is determined based on a revolution speed of the internal combustion engine.
