Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine, capable of suitably preventing/suppressing the corrosion of a nozzle injection hole.SOLUTION: An ECU 150 determines whether an internal combustion engine 100 is in a predetermined operating condition or not. In the case where an ignition-off command is given when the internal combustion engine 100 is in the predetermined operating condition, the ECU 150 performs first control to reduce the temperature of combustion gas, followed by second control to increase the temperature of the combustion gas, and stops the internal combustion engine 100. The first control can be at least one of increase control of EGR, control to change over a distribution path for EGR gas from a bypass passage 114 into an EGR passage 111, and retard control of a fuel injection timing. The second control is at least one of reduction control of the EGR, including EGR cut, increase control of an engine speed, and advance control of the fuel injection timing.
