Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine including a centrifugal compressor and an EGR device, for inhibiting the rotating speed of the centrifugal compressor from being higher than an allowable rotating speed, resulting from the backflow of intake air into an EGR passage.SOLUTION: A control device for an internal combustion engine including a centrifugal compressor and an EGR device includes processing means for, when an intake pressure downstream of the centrifugal compressor is higher than an exhaust pressure, causing an EGR valve to open to execute backflow processing to distribute a part of intake air from an intake passage through an EGR passage to an exhaust passage, and correcting means for, when a rotating speed of the centrifugal compressor is predicted to be higher than an allowable rotating speed as executing the backflow processing, making the opening of the EGR valve smaller during executing the backflow processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
