Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool a high-temperature region of a heat insulation film in an internal combustion engine having the heat insulation film formed on a top surface of a piston.SOLUTION: In Step S12, when it is identified that an operating region of an engine 10 is in a region I in Fig. 5, a water injection valve 40 is controlled so as not to inject water (Step S14). When it is identified that the operating region is in a region II in Fig. 5, a pump 42 is driven to inject water in the vicinity of ATDC180°, and injection timing of the water injection valve 40 is controlled (Step S16). When it is identified that the operating region is in a region III in Fig. 5, the pump 42 is driven to inject water in the vicinity of ATDC90°and 180° and injection timing of the water injection valve 40 is controlled (Step S18).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 21
