PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of a knock detection.SOLUTION: A control device for controlling an internal combustion engine equipped with a variable compression ratio mechanism enabled to change a compression ratio by varying the effective length of the connecting rod of the internal combustion engine, that is, an internal combustion engine control device for deciding that a knock has occurred, in the case where the detection value of the knock sensor is at or higher than a knock determination value, that a knock has occurred, comprises a knock determination value change part for making the knock determination value smaller than that when the compression ratio of the internal combustion engine is higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
