Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximally suppress a torque variation between cylinders even if a variable compression ratio mechanism falls in a state that the mechanism cannot change a compression ratio of the cylinder, in an internal combustion engine having the variable compression ratio mechanism.SOLUTION: In a control device of an internal combustion engine having a variable compression ratio mechanism which is arranged in each cylinder of a cylinder group, and changes a compression ratio of each cylinder to either of a prescribed low compression ratio and a prescribed high compression ratio, when it is determined that the compression ratio of the prescribed cylinder firmly adheres to an adhesion compression ratio, a compression ratio of one or plurality of prescribed correlated cylinders in which a combustion order when setting the prescribed cylinder in the cylinder group as a reference is brought into an alternate relationship when an operation state of the internal combustion engine belongs to an operation region different from an operation region corresponding to the adhesion compression ratio at the prescribed cylinder is controlled to a compression ratio which is the same as the adhesion compression ratio at the prescribed cylinder via the variable compression ratio mechanism, and a compression ratio of a cylinder except for the prescribed cylinder in the cylinder group and one or plurality of the prescribed correlated cylinders to a compression ratio corresponding to the operation region to which the operation state of the internal combustion engine belongs.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
