Abstract:
To improve the accuracy of air-fuel ratio control at the changeover of operation modes accompanied by the introduction of an internal EGR gas, related to a control device of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine having a variable valve device 10 which can switch a first mode at which the blowback of fuel contained in an air-fuel mixture in a cylinder to an intake passage 50 is generated in a compression stroke, and a second mode in which the blowback is not generated by the control of the closing timing of an intake valve 46 at a combustion cycle unit, an ECU 30 performs fuel injection amount correction processing for decreasing an amount of injection fuel for an initial combustion cycle after changeover to the second mode from the first mode, and increasing the amount of the injection fuel for the initial combustion cycle after changeover to the first mode from the second mode. In the fuel injection amount correction processing, the ECU 30 decreases the fuel correction amount for reducing and increasing the amount of the injection fuel as an internal EGR gas amount is large.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
