Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine to compute and set a throttle valve opening and the opening area of an EGR control valve to respective optimum values even when the state (of a pressure and a temperature) is changed by EGR gas, and effect easy control to demanded air amount and EGR gas amount.
SOLUTION: EGR gas is converted into a fresh air amount based on the state amount thereof at (A), a total sum of an EGR gas amount fresh air conversion value and a target air amount is obtained at (B), based on this sum, the total opening area of the throttle valve and the EGR valve is determined based thereof at (E), a total opening area is distributed through a ratio between each of an EGR gas fresh air conversion value and a target air amount and a total air amount, and the opening area of each of the throttle valve and the EGR valve is determined at (G). The temperature correction item of a conversion factor to convert EGR gas into a fresh air amount based on a state amount is determined by a temperature correction item part computing part B. A pressure correction item is determined by a pressure correction item computing part C, the opening areas of the throttle valve and the EGR valve are computed to an optimum for setting and a demanded air amount and an EGR gas amount are properly determined.
