SOLUTION: The control parameters for the operation of an engine are classified into a group of first parameters to be controlled according to the fuel components of the emulsion fuel and a group of second parameters to be controlled according to the amount of the emulsion fuel. The first parameters are controlled according to the amount of the fuel components of the emulsion fuel, and the second parameters are controlled according to the amount of the emulsion fuel.
