Abstract:
To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine, capable of suppressing the shortage of the oxygen storage amount of a three-way catalyst during executing fuel introduction processing.SOLUTION: An engine control device 100 includes an ignition control part 110, and an injection valve control part 120. In a combustion stop period for stopping combustion in a cylinder 11 in such a situation that a crank shaft 14 is rotated, when the execution of filter regeneration is requested, the engine control device 100 executes fuel introduction processing for allowing fuel to be injected in the state of stopping the combustion and introduced into a three-way catalyst 22 without being combusted. When the execution of the filter regeneration is requested, the engine control device 100 executes lean combustion operation in a combustion operation period to reaching the combustion stop period in the state that an air-fuel ratio is on the further lean side than when the execution of the filter regeneration is not requested and on the further lean side than a theoretical air-fuel ratio.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
