Abstract:
To provide a control device capable of curbing an excessive increase in a temperature of a catalyst device 17 in an internal combustion engine where a temperature of a filter is increased along with an increase in the temperature of the catalyst device through execution of heat-up control.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 10 comprises: the catalyst device 17 which is installed in an exhaust passage 15; and a filter 18 which is installed in the exhaust passage 15 at a downstream side of the catalyst device 17. When performing regenerative control of the filter 18, a control device 100 increases a temperature of the filter 18 along with an increase in the temperature of the catalyst device 17 through execution of heat-up control. When an acquired temperature of the catalyst device 17 is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature, the control device 100 reduces the temperature of the catalyst device 17 through the execution of excessive heat-up suppression control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
