Abstract:
To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of detecting an abnormality of blow-by gas to appropriately detect accumulation of foreign matters in the circumference of a piston ring by using a simpler configuration and processing with lower load.SOLUTION: A control device for an internal combustion engine detects presence/absence of accumulation of foreign matters in the circumference of a piston ring of the internal combustion engine. The control device includes: an operating state detection section detecting operating states of the internal combustion engine; a first crank case inner pressure acquisition section acquiring crank case inner pressure of the internal combustion engine which is one of the operating states for a first predetermined time; and an abnormality detection section detecting presence/absence of accumulation of foreign matters in the circumference of the piston ring of the internal combustion engine on the basis of presence/absence of an abnormal step that is a pressure step larger than abnormal step pressure set as a threshold value of abnormality determination when a pressure step that is stepped fluctuation amount of the acquired crank case inner pressure is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
