Title:
CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10176586
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To minimize the exhaust gas deterioration in the unignited state of a two-stroke cycle internal combustion engine by diagnosing the unignited state in a cylinder, referring to an ignition jump value when the unignited state is diagnosed, and applying the delaying control of a combustion phenomenon.

When an internal combustion engine 10 is operated, the signal pattern defined with the rotation signal RPM is detected by a control device 36. When an interruption occurs on a cylinder phenomenon, the interruption vector indicating the start of an interruption service routine is stored at the prescribed memory location of a ROM 88. Sampled input signals RPM and TP are processed to determine the engine speed and engine load at this time. The timewise change rate of the valve position indicated by ΔTP and the timewise change rate of the engine speed indicated by ΔRPM are obtained. When no ordinary operation state is detected, an ignition jumping action is taken to compensate the diagnosed cylinder unignited state, then a combustion control action is implemented.
