To shorten a period of time required for a user to receive an item.SOLUTION: A control device 120 includes a communication unit 123 which receives item information 230 being information of an item 201 and transmitted via a network, and a control unit 121 which outputs an instruction, as a first instruction, to store the item 201 corresponding to the item information 230 to a picking and storage area 103 when the communication unit 123 receives the item information 230, performs authentication of a user 220 when the user 220 inputs authentication information 231 to a receiving terminal 170 arranged in a receiving area 104 after the output of the first instruction, and when the authentication has been successful, outputs an instruction, as a second instruction, of shipping of the item 201 stored in the storage area 103 from the storage area 103 to the receiving area 104.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
