Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a motor-driven power steering device which can provide smooth steering feeling even if an allowable maximum value is set in the current command value.
SOLUTION: A first current command value limiter 29 limiting the maximum value of a current command value in a steady state to a relative low value and a second current command value limiter 30 limiting the maximum value in a transient state to a relative high value are provided, and an added value of output of the two current command value limiters by an adder 31 is set to be a current command value I. In a steady state, the maximum value of the current command value is limited to a relative low value, and hence a motor or a motor drive circuit can be protected from generation of heat. In a transient state such as quick handle operation, the maximum value of the current command value is limited to a relative high value, and hence the current command value does not reach the ceiling and a smooth steering feeling can be provided.
