Abstract:
To detect tooth chipping on a toothed belt.SOLUTION: An electronic control unit identifies a reference time s when the rotation position of a crankshaft gets to a reference rotation position, and a peak time t when a hydraulic pressure P changes from increase to decrease after the reference time s (Step S130). Then, the electronic control unit determined that tooth chipping occurs on the toothed belt (Step S190) when a lapsed time Z from the reference time s to the peak time t deviates from a predetermined specific range H (Step S170: NO).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
