Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a predetermined running direction at all times regardless of conditions such as a road condition, and improve safety and fuel consumption by nearing automatically and instantaneously a difference to zero between a steering wheel set angle and an actual advance angle. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined running angle detecting sensor 5 detects a predetermined angle beta. On the other hand, the sotary speeds of each wheel axis 1a-1d are detected by rotation sensors 2a-2b, thereby obtaining right and left wheel speeds via each rotary speed detecting part 3a-3d and wheel speed comparative part 4a and 4b. Thereafter, an advance angle alpha is obtained on an advance angle operation part 6 and the angle so obtained is compared with the predetermined angle on an angle difference operation part 7, thereby giving alpha-beta=theta. And control signals Sl and Sr depending upon the angle difference thetaare outputted from a running direction control part, hydraulic control signals are modulated on a modulator 13 and the pressure differential of a hydraulic brake system for each wheel 1a-1d is changed, thereby making the value of theta closer to zero. As a result, a predetermined running direction can be maintained regardless of a road condition, thereby improving safety and fuel consumption.
