CONSTITUTION: In a control device for a self-ignition type internal combustion engine, a first actuator 80 determines an initiation of fuel injection, and a second actuator 130 determines a fuel amount QK to be injected. Target values SBS of positions of the first actuator 80 are recorded on a map 90 with various operation parameters. A target values RW of the second actuator 130 is compensated in accordance with a signal indicating an initiation of injection, and a signal QK indicating the fuel amount QK. With this arrangement, a constant torque can be ensured at an arbitrary rotational speed upon arbitrary initiation of injection.
