Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a vehicle drive unit which optimally sets a switching start time point, in the vehicle drive unit having a stepless gear change mechanism and a transmission mechanism in parallel.SOLUTION: It is preferable that a motion point of an engine 14 is traced on an optimum fuel economy line during the switching of a power transmission passage, however, there arises a possibility that a gear change time is elongated, and the durability of a friction member constituting a clutch is deteriorated. Then, by setting the motion point of the engine 14 so as to straddle the optimum fuel economy line of the engine 14 during the switching (gear change) of the power transmission passage, a region in the vicinity of the optimum fuel economy line can be used during the transition of the gear change, a fuel consumption amount during the gear change is reduced, the elongation of the gear change time t is suppressed, and the deterioration of the durability of the clutch is suppressed.
