Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve fuel consumption performance of a vehicle loading a spark ignition type internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A magnitude of electric energy input to an ignition plug disposed on a cylinder is increased according to an operation region of an internal combustion engine. In a case where the difference between a fuel consumption rate obtained by increasing electric energy input to the ignition plug without accompanying power generation by a power generator generating power by receiving supply of rotary torque from the internal combustion engine, and a fuel consumption rate in consideration of deterioration of a fuel consumption rate due to power generation of the power generator corresponding to the increase of the electric energy input to the ignition plug, is large, an upper limit set to a power generation rate as a ratio of the increase of an actual power generation amount of the power generator and the increase of power generation amount necessary for compensating the increase of the electric energy input to the ignition plug, to be lowered in comparison with a case where the difference is small, and shortage of the power generation amount is compensated by regenerative braking in deceleration of a vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
