Abstract:
PURPOSE: To appropriately control the speed change in ascending/-descending the slope by obtaining the chance to detect the hill climbing resistance even when a brake is applied.
CONSTITUTION: In a constitution to detect the hill climbing resistance mg.sinθ based on the driving force F, the acceleration resistance ma, the rolling and air resistance RL, the braking force is estimated (S6) as the deviation between the driving force F and the traveling resistance by assuming that there is no change in the hill climbing resistance within the specific period of time from the time when the brake is applied. The hill climbing resistance is detected when the braking force is below the specific value (S9) even when the brake is applied, and the speed change is controlled (S10) according to the detected hill climbing resistance.
