To effectively reduce quantity of fuel adhering on an intake air passage wall surface during engine stop.
A control device for a vehicular engine 1 of one of embodiment of this invention is provided with an intake air control valve 23 capable of completely closing inside of an intake air passage 11 and of closing and opening at high speed, and a control means 100 controlling the intake air control valve 23 to open the same at open timing to produce negative pressure in the intake air passage 35 between the intake air control valve 23 and an intake valve 16. Evaporation of adhering fuel with using negative pressure produced in a downstream side of the intake air control valve 23 and air fuel mixture and adhering fuel of evaporating fuel is drawn into a combustion chamber 13 by high speed intake air flow generated simultaneously with valve open of the intake air control valve 23.
