Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase a circulation amount of cooling water and prevent an abnormal rise of temperature in an engine, in a water pump of separately driven control method, by anticipatively controlling the pump to an increase of its speed at occurrence of knocking action in the engine. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water temperature of an engine is detected by a water temperature sensor 14, simultaneously a knocking condition is similarly detected by a knocking sensor 15 as vibration, and these detected signals are inputted to a control device 13. At occurrence of knocking action, amplitude of a vibration signal of prescribed frequency, picked off from a filter 18, of the vibration signals from said sensor 15 is increased larger than output of a level setter circuit 19. Then said output is inputted to a correction circuit 22 through an integrating circuit 21, further a signal from an output current arithmetic circuit 17, connected to a temperature detector circuit 16, is outputted by the correction circuit 22, and rotary speed of a motor 11 for a water pump is increased by a current control circuit 23 to increase a circulating amount of cooling water.
