Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent an engine from being stopped when a brake is operated by calculating the input shaft rotating speed after the preset time based on the change rate of the input shaft rotating speed of a transmission and controlling an automatic clutch to release it based on this calculation result. CONSTITUTION:During the vehicle travel, a control unit 16 judges whether an accelerating pedal 40 is not operated and a vehicle is in a quick brake state based on the output signals of an accelerator sensor 42 and a throttle sensor 84. If it judges as YES, it estimates the input rotating speed Ns after T seconds based on the change rate dNin of the input shaft rotating speed determined from the output of an input shaft rotation sensor 50 and the time T including the response delay time of an electromagnetic clutch 12 and others. Next, it judges whether this input rotating speed Ns becomes the clutch release reference rotating speed NOFF or less, and if it judges as YES, it controls the electromagnetic clutch 12 to a released state to prevent an engine 10 from being stopped rotating.
