PURPOSE: To obtain a copied material having the same picture sequence as an original by copying continuously the one side only, then standing by at a tray in a copying machine once when the both sides of plural originals having the picture to be copied to the both sides is copied by using an automatic origi nal feeding device.

CONSTITUTION: When the both sides of plural originals having the picture to be copied to the both sides are copied, first, only one side surface of all originals is copied to one side surface of the same number of the paper as the original, and the format stands by in the copying machine once. Next, the discharged original is overturned manually, is set to the automatic original feeding device and the copying action is started. The overturned original is successively copied to the surface where the picture of the format standing by in the copying machine is not formed.
