Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase of vibration irrespective of a variation of a resonance rotation number caused by an atmospheric temperature.SOLUTION: This control method of a compression self-ignition type engine includes: a rotation specification process for specifying an engine rotation number; an atmospheric temperature specification process for specifying an atmospheric temperature; a fuel supply amount setting process for setting a target supply amount of fuel which should be supplied to a cylinder from a fuel supply device on the basis of the engine rotation number which is specified by the rotation number specification process; and a threshold setting process for setting a threshold of the resonance band area in which vibration is liable to become large on the basis of the atmospheric temperature which is specified by the atmospheric temperature specification process. In the fuel supply amount setting process, the target supply amount when supplying the fuel in order to raise a rotation number from a state that the engine rotation number is lower than a lower limit rotation number of the resonance band area is set to a value by which the engine rotation number at the fuel supply in a succeeding cycle is deviated from the resonance band area, and in the threshold setting process, at least the lower limit rotation number of the resonance band area is shifted to a low-rotation side compared with the case that the atmospheric temperature is low when the atmospheric temperature is high.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
