Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection apparatus and method for trace organic components which enable quick and highly sensitive analysis thereon.
SOLUTION: There are included a hydrothermal oxidative decomposition device 120 which performs a decomposition of PCB to sodium chloride (NaCl), carbon dioxide (CO2) and the like under the reactions of dechlorination and oxidative decomposition in the presence of sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) within a reactor heated and pressurized and a laser ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer 100 which measures patterns of residual PCB and/or PCB decomposition products in a drain 133 separated with a gas/liquid separator 129.
