PURPOSE: To provide a hysteresis characteristic to the action of controlled operation variables, by directly or correctively using output of a table memory in accordance with an operational parameter for if in the first or the second state.
CONSTITUTION: Outputs of an engine speed detector 1, engine cooling water temperature detector 2 and a position switch 3, detecting the fully closing of a throttle valve, are input to an arithmetic circuit 10. A memory 20 stores a program for the arithmetic circuit 10, and a table memory 21a stores a value N1 at every water temperature. When the operational parameter of an engine is in the first state, numerically converted output of the table memory 21a and operational variable are directly compared, when the operational parameter is in the second state, at least one of the numerically converted output of the table memory 21a and operation variable is corrected by a prescribed value, and then the both are compared to control a fuel cut off valve 30 in accordance with the compared result.
