Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable two or more railroad cars coupled with each other to smoothly run in synchronization by electrically connecting the variable capacity hydraulic pumps of the cars with one controller, simultaneously outputting the same electric command from the controller to the hydraulic pumps, and controlling the working oil discharge amount of each pump.
CONSTITUTION: A controller 7 furnished on a driver car emits as an electric command a speed command given by an operator to variable capacity control devices 6, 6 of cars A, B, puts capacity controlling actuators 5, 5 in operation, controls to the same the working oil discharge amounts of variable capacity hydraulic pumps 2, 2, and rotates hydraulic motors 1, 1 at the same speed. Because the command of the controller 7 is of electric, the discharge amount controls of the two pumps 2, 2 take place simultaneously. Also because gear shift operation with a transmission and clutch is made in conformity to an electric command, the shift timing is scarcely dislocated in the cars A, B from one another. The synchronous operation is conducted without hindrance even with the buffer effect of the clutch.
