To provide a control method for a gas separator which attains reduction in power consumption certainly and efficiently while meeting the user requirements of product gas purity and pressure.
In the control method for the gas separator 2, an easy adsorption component is separated from a hard adsorption component in a feedstock mixed gas through repeating at least an adsorption process, a pressure equalizing process and a regeneration process, with regard to a plurality of adsorption towers 20-1 to 2 filled with an adsorbent, for manufacturing the product gas. The completion of the adsorption process and the regeneration process is followed by a pause process, and the time for the pause process is made variable depending on a forecast of the variations of a product tank.
