Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a head-up display device 1 in which visibility of a projection image 31 can be secured regardless of a background image 32.SOLUTION: There is provided a control method of a head-up display device 1 for projecting a projection image 31 on a windshield 3 with display light D radiated from a projection device 2 in a vehicle. First, a lightness index Lin accordance with a colorimetric system (L,a,b) regulated in a CIE 1976 colorimetric system and chromaticness indexes a,bare acquired with respect to the projection image 31 and a background image 32 which is a background of the projection image 31. Then, a color difference ΔE between the projection image 31 and the background image 32 is calculated based on the acquired lightness index Land the chromaticness indexes a,b. Then, the display light D is controlled so that the calculated color difference ΔE becomes ΔE≥6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
