To provide a control method for a heating system to prevent water in heating piping from rotting and piping from corrosion even when a bath is not used for a long period.
When it is detected by a water level sensor 5 that a bath 7 is brought into an empty state or a state near the empty state, a water supply valve 4 is opened and a pump is temporarily stopped. Water supplied from a water supply is made to flow as is through a water supply valve 4 or after being heated by a burner 2 and flows to heating piping 9 through a heating system hot water supply valve 8. Since a drainage valve 11 is opened and a heating system return valve 10 is closed, water is drained through the drainage valve 11. This constitution drains polluted water stagnating in heating piping 9 and cleans the interior of the heating piping 9. Thus, even when the bath 7 is not used for a long time, water in the heating piping 9 is prevented from rotting and prevents piping from corrosion.
