Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a heated and processed item to be cooled efficiently within a short time while reducing an amount of energy consumed under an effective utilization of heat in an industrial furnace when the processed item is cooled down for processing in cooling after the processed item fed into the industrial furnace is heated.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an industrial furnace 10 for performing a heating step S1 for at least heating a processed item W fed into a furnace 11 and a cooling step S3 for cooling the heated and processed item. Gas fed out of the furnace and circulated and cooling medium are fed to thermoelectric generation element 21 and a Peltier element 23, and at the initial step S3a in the cooling step, power generation under a temperature difference between gas and cooling medium fed out of the furnace and circulated with the thermoelectric generation element and in turn at a later stage S3b of the cooling step, electricity generated by the thermoelectric generation element is supplied to the Peltier element to cool gas fed out of the furnace and circulated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
