Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the characteristics of an internal combustion engine, and optimize idle operation, especially by weighting spare control and/or raising of a target value using a weighting coefficient.
SOLUTION: A regulating signal UPI, with respect to a regulation operating element 100, is calculated by an idle operation controller 14 dependent on a difference DN between an output signal SN of a target value setting unit 7 and actual rotary speed N. An output signal UD of a spare control unit 70 is subtracted from the regulation signal UPI at an additional point. Actual rotating speed N is supplied to an input side of the spare control unit 70. When a traveling pedal 5 is not operated, a fuel rate for injection is set by the signal. When the traveling pedal 5 is operated, an output signal is formed, dependent on the actual rotating speed N and a traveling pedal position by a traveling characteristic map 16. The output signal is added to the output signal of an idling operation controller 14. In a minimum value selecting unit 11, the regulation signal is restricted to a maximum allowable value, dependent on at least the actual rotating speed N.
