Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the frequency of on/off, by sampling the water level with one period, calculating the water level and its change rate, and driving pumps only when the rate exceeds a given value. CONSTITUTION:Water delivered to a pump 1 is fed to a reservoir 3 with pumps P1-Pn and water is supplied to users. The water level signal from a water level meter 4 is operated 5, an on/off admitting command is produced and the number of operating sets is controlled 6 with the water level. In this case, when the variance in water level is gradual, no operator 5 makes output, and only when the change rate of the water level exceeds a given value, the command in increase/decrease is permitted, and if the water level changes gradually toward the same direction, interruption is made when the water level exceeds a given value and the command for increase/decrease of the number of sets is permitted. Thus, the frequency of on/off of pumps can be reduced.
