CONSTITUTION: An inclined rolling mill 10 has an arithmetic unit 18 and a drive roller shoe controller 19. A rolling condition, a rolling signal, and then a rolling electric current, a rotation speed, and a set rotation speed of a drive roller shoe 12, and a rolling load of a rolling roll 11 are inputted into the unit 18, which calculates a driving force of the shoe 12, that is, a set rolling electric current based on all of the input values so that a rolling reaction of the roll 11 to be max. The controller 19 controls operation of a direct current moor 15 driving the shoe 12 based on an calculation result of the unit 18.
