Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a power converter, capable of suppressing a surge voltage in a power converter having a different control method from a conventional method.SOLUTION: A control circuit 13 shifts from a first control state, in which a switch element 102 is set ON and a switch element 103 is set OFF and also switch elements 120 and 123 are set ON and switch elements 121 and 122 are set OFF, to a second control state, in which the switch elements 102 and 103 are set ON and the switch elements 120-123 are set OFF. However, during the period of the second control state, the control circuit 13 switches the switch elements 120 and 123 to be ON. As a result, current flowing through the switch element 102 comes to zero. Therefore, by switching the switch element 102 to be OFF at timing when the current flowing through the switch element 102 becomes zero, it is possible to suppress a surge voltage which may occur at that time.
