To provide a regularly winding method utilizing image control.
The control method for regularly winding linear material 1 around a bobbin 2 comprises a process of enlarging in a circumference direction of the bobbin 2 an image of a winding surface obtained by catching reflected light R generated when appropriate incident light L is emitted to the winding surface of the linear material 1 regularly wound around the bobbin 2; a process of converting the original image obtained by the process where small and almost circular shaped light-colored portions generated by the reflected light from top points P of winding curves are arranged in a line at regular intervals into an image consisting of deep-colored and light-colored portions 6 where enlarged and longitudinally lengthened light-colored portions and adjoining deep-colored portions are arranged alternately in an axial direction of the bobbin; and a process of instructing traverse drive of the bobbin 2 when the outermost enlarged portion in the converted image comes close to a position of predetermined distance from a flange inner surface 21 of the bobbin 2.
