PURPOSE: To highly precisely select a lifting number by providing such a constitution as correcting exciting current on the basis of deflection of steel plates and piling condition of narrow steel plate, increasing the exciting current at the time of separation, and adjusting the exciting current according to lifting state.
CONSTITUTION: When the number of lifted steel plates is larger than a designated number, magnetic flux density of adsorbing surface is smoothly gradually reduced every lifting magnet 1, the exciting current of the lifting magnet is increased the moment plate dropping is detected by a detecting circuit 20, and when the number of the lifted steel plates is smaller than the designated number, the lifting magnet 11 is held near the steel plates, and the exciting current is gradually increased to attract and absorb the designated number of steel plates, or the lifted steel plates are landed to separate the lifting magnet 11 from the steel plates, and then the lifting is again conducted with an exciting current larger than the previously set exciting current.
