Abstract:

PURPOSE: To conduct control to give an input value to a stepping motor in considering a flow characteristic and working load of oil flowing in a communication hole so that advance/retreat quantity of a piston rod in a cylinder main body may become a set value, so as to make an output value follow a specified setting with high accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: A spool valve 5 for controlling movement of a piston rod 3 is arranged in a pilot communication hole 4 formed in an external part of a cylinder main body 1 of the piston rod 3 arranged in a first oil pressure chamber 2 inside the cylinder main body 1, when this method is applied to a stepping cylinder S for vibrating a mold M of a continuous casting equipment. Advance/retreat motion of the piston rod 3 is made to follow movement of the spool valve 5 by means of controlling movement of this spool valve 5 by a stepping motor 9. The stepping motor 9 is made to control in considering passage flow quantities q1, q2 of two pilot communication holes and load acting on the piston rod 3 so as to make the advance/retreat quantity of the piston rod 3 become a specified vibration curve.
