Abstract:
To control engine speed so as to shorten time for attaining target engine speed, when reduction of engine speed is requested at up-shift times.
This method and system for controlling engine speed (ES) of an electronic control type engine (12) communicating by an industrial standard data link. When a speed difference between the present engine speed and target engine speed exceeds a reference value ((ES-ESTARGET)>REF), an engine is commanded to operate in a torque control mode or a speed-torque limit mode.
