Abstract:

To provide a screw capper capable of easily determining a control pattern of a motor 8 for seaming a new cap 3 having different characteristics.

The screw capper 1 includes the motor 8 for rotating a capping head 7, and a control device 11 for controlling an operation of the motor 8. When seaming the new cap 3 having different characteristics on a container 2, the new cap 3 as a sample is first seamed on the container 2 at a fixed speed by the capping head 7. Torque acting on the cap 3 at the time of sampling is input into the control device 11 through a servo amplifier 23, and the control device 11 determines the control pattern and a setting parameter of the motor 8 for seaming the new cap 3 to the container 3 on the basis of variations of the torque at the time of sampling.
