Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control rod drive mechanism that makes it possible to reliably confirm a torque test on magnetic joints with the control rod drive mechanism installed in the lower part of a pressure vessel and can improve the workability in the test on the magnetic joints.
SOLUTION: The control rod drive mechanism for inserting control rods 12 into the core of a reactor and pulling them out from it is composed of a constraint condition detector 14 which detects the constraint condition of a piston hoisting and lowering mechanism including a hollow piston 11 when the control rods 12 are constrained at the upper or lower limit positions, a torque loading means 23 which is placed at the end on the side of an electric motor 1 for a rotational axis 2 and loads torque in the direction that constrains an inside magnetic joint 6 opposite to an outside magnetic joint 5 by revolving it through the rotational axis 2 on the basis of the detected constraint condition, a torque meter 22a which measures torque to be loaded and a position detector 3 which detects rotational positions of the rotational axis 2 when rotation torque is loaded.
